History
Two area women activists founded the Environmental Association for Great Lakes Education (EAGLE) in 1994. Since its inception, EAGLE has proven itself to be an invaluable clearinghouse of environmental information and a hub for preservation activity and networking.
Mission
The Environmental Association for Great Lakes Education is a nonprofit
organization empowering local communities to protect the Great Lakes
Ecosystem.
Goals
Address critical environmental concerns in the Great Lakes basin including toxics and human health, climate change, environmental injustice and water privatization/exportation/diversion;
Educate communities about these issues and identify both individual and collective solutions based on community concerns; and
Promote citizen involvement by providing information and opportunities to take action.
